Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Location: Riyadh
Our Opportunity:
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will oversee and coordinate manufacturing activities within subcontractor facilities, serving as the primary point of contact between subcontractors and Thales OME (Optronics and Missile Electronics) UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a manufacturing team to deliver products on schedule and meet quality standards.
- Support the transfer of new products from development to production environments, ensuring technical performance, functionality, and quality meet customer needs.
- In a program environment, plan, estimate, execute, and manage engineering activities associated with product assembly and testing.
- Lead a cross-functional manufacturing team, working closely with Program Managers, Industrial Architects, Manufacturing Engineers, Product Design Authorities, and Systems Engineering Managers.
- Implement manufacturing activities in accordance with plans, flowcharts, and manufacturing environment constraints.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations.
- Network with fellow engineers to enhance knowledge and domain experience.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in a Manufacturing/Engineering environment (Electronics).
- Relevant degree in Engineering (Electronics or Electrical).
- Good experience with NPI (New Product Introduction) and Transfer of Production.
- Experience leading a team and managing stakeholders in a factory environment.
- Experience in Electronics or Electrical design, assemblies, circuit boards, and testing.
- Proven experience working in different manufacturing and/or engineering environments.
- Experience managing non-conformance (e.g., Failure Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action).
- Experience in Process control and Statistical analysis.
- Self-motivated and capable of working alone and with teams.
- Good written, oral, and presentation skills for effective communication with peers and customers.
- Analytical, methodical, and organized approach.
- Experience in the defence/aerospace sector is desirable but not mandatory.
