Job Title: Instructional Designer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to join our team at Amazon. As an Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for creating engaging and effective learning experiences for our employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-quality learning content, including e-learning courses, instructor-led materials, job aids, and system simulations.
  • Conduct needs analysis to identify learning gaps and develop solutions that meet the needs of our business and employees.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure that learning solutions are aligned with business objectives.
  • Develop evaluation strategies to measure the effectiveness of learning programs and make data-driven decisions to improve them.
  • Prioritize effectively to manage multiple concurrent projects and initiatives.
  • Perform LMS administration tasks, including uploading new content, updating existing content, and generating reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with new learning approaches, technologies, and tools to ensure that our learning programs are innovative and effective.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in instructional design, learning and development, or a related field.
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams.
  • 2+ years of direct experience in designing training content, including e-learning courses, instructor-led materials, job aids, and system simulations.
  • 2+ years of direct experience using e-learning authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with coordination for global initiatives, including localization of training content.
  • Experience using learning data to inform continuous improvement.
  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, learning and development, or a related field.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience driving end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • 2+ years of experience driving process improvements.
  • Solid project management skills, including planning work, managing details, and keeping multiple tasks/projects on track.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Expert knowledge of adult learning theory.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate an agile mindset and adapt to evolving requirements.
