We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Management Director to join our team at Aventus Global Talent. As a key member of our Technology Management Department, you will be responsible for guiding and controlling the secure and effective utilization of our Mainframe platforms and Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement approved departmental policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.
  • Provide input for the development of departmental budget and monitor performance against approved levels.

  • Identify potential malfunctions in Mainframe efficiency and guide the implementation of solutions to restore efficiency according to banking standards and SLAs.
  • Control the accurate connectivity of required hardware and devices for effective utilization of systems and applications.
  • Ensure that databases, storage, and backups of all Mainframe are accurately secured, monitored, and available for relevant parties.
  • Control and guide the development of contingency and data recovery plans, providing required systems' infrastructure.
  • Monitor and control the implementation of tests at the Mainframe and proceed to any required configuration or change.
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems.
  • Ensure all staff have clear objectives, regular performance feedback sessions, formal annual appraisals, and individual development plans, with emphasis on developing talented staff.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT engineering, or equivalent, preferably at a post-graduate level.
  • 8-10 years of relevant management experience in Mainframe management and/or development.
  • Thorough knowledge of banking BT systems and applications.
  • Very good knowledge of operations and requirements.
  • Very good knowledge of programming languages and operating systems relevant to the assigned business area.
  • Excellent knowledge of Mainframe and platforms in use.
