Project Controls Director

Taqarec is seeking a highly experienced Project Controls Director to lead the project controls team for a major infrastructure programme in Riyadh. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the planning, estimating, cost control, risk management, and document control services for the project.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the project controls team to ensure effective delivery of project controls services.
  • Develop and implement the project controls execution strategy to achieve the contract requirements.
  • Establish and manage the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and project master schedule.
  • Establish and manage the Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS), budget, and project cost control.
  • Establish and manage the risk management plan.
  • Establish and manage document control and change control.
  • Progress, cost, and risk monitoring and analysis.
  • Provide monthly and weekly reports to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • BSc in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 20 years of overall experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Minimum 5 years of Middle East work experience.
  • Required professional memberships and charterships (MRICS or MCIOB).
  • Sound knowledge of all engineering and commercial aspects of major civil and infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of CPM networks, resource and cost loading, and risk management techniques.
  • Ability to effectively monitor and analyze progress, cost, and risks, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Experienced user of MS Office and Primavera.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
