About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior NPD Technologist to join our team at Ornua Co-operative Limited. As a key member of our New Product Development (NPD) team, you will be responsible for leading the development and commercialization of new dairy products that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dairy technology and a proven track record of developing innovative dairy products. You will work closely with our sales and marketing teams to understand customer needs and develop products that meet their requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and commercialization of new dairy products, ensuring they meet customer needs and are commercially viable.
  • Work closely with our sales and marketing teams to understand customer needs and develop products that meet their requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and stakeholders to ensure successful product launches.
  • Collaborate with our R&D team to develop new dairy products and improve existing ones.
  • Conduct sensory and texture analysis of dairy products to ensure they meet customer expectations.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of dairy industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Provide technical support to our sales and marketing teams to ensure they have the necessary information to effectively promote our dairy products.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in dairy technology, food science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in dairy product development, with a strong background in NPD.
  • Proven track record of developing innovative dairy products that meet customer needs.
  • Strong understanding of dairy industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to visit customers and attend industry events.
