Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Operations Manager to join our team at Nova M Hotel. As an Accounts Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes, including accounts payable and receivable.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Invoice Verification: Verify all invoices with purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  2. Long Outstanding LPOs: Control and verify long outstanding LPOs, ensuring timely payment and resolution of discrepancies.
  3. Arithmetical Accuracy: Check and verify the arithmetical accuracy of invoices, including date, quality, and receive stamp approval.
  4. Reconciliation: Reconcile outstanding invoices with total payable balance, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  5. Discrepancy Resolution: Follow up on discrepancies with suppliers in writing, ensuring prompt resolution and payment.
  6. Internal Expense Reports: Ensure that internal expense reports are approved by the Director of Finance/Financial Controller and the General Manager, and that payments are made accordingly.
  7. Cheque Management: Ensure that all cheques are locked and endorsed, maintaining a secure and efficient payment process.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Hotel Management or Accounting Degree: A degree in hotel management or accounting, with a minimum of one year of experience in a hotel environment.
  2. Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Computer Literacy: Proficiency in computer software, including Opera, Micros, FBM, and SUN System.
  4. Results-Oriented: A results-oriented individual with a positive attitude, able to think laterally and analytically, and display a high level of integrity.
  5. Team Player: A strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
