Ophthalmic Specialist

An exceptional opportunity awaits an accomplished Ophthalmic Specialist to lead the ophthalmology department at a prestigious hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

• Deliver high-quality ophthalmology care to patients, encompassing expertise in corneal transplant surgery.
• Provide consultative services as requested and supervise medical professionals, including fellows, staff, and residents.
• Promote training and development initiatives, actively participating in resident and fellow education, and contributing to research activities.
• Engage in administrative functions, such as committee participation, and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess:

• A medical degree from a reputable institution, followed by completion of required training in Transplant Surgery.
• Saudi Arab or American/European Board Certification, along with membership and/or Fellowship status in equivalent organizations.
• A certificate recognized by the Saudi commission and Dataflow compliance are mandatory.
• A minimum of 3-4 years of post-board/fellowship experience in Transplant Surgery, with registration in the Saudi Board Council.
• Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.
