Job Summary

Precision Hire Solution is seeking a highly skilled WHS Coordinator, Safety Officer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead Site Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments for current and new activities to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  2. Establish Site WHS Training Matrix: Develop and implement a comprehensive training program to ensure all employees are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their jobs safely.
  3. Implement Site Specific WHS Standards and Guidelines: Develop and enforce site-specific safety standards and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  4. Lead Implementation of Site WHS Objectives and Programs: Develop and implement site-specific WHS objectives and programs to achieve a safe and healthy work environment.
  5. Promote Safe Culture: Foster a culture of safety among employees by providing regular safety updates and promoting safe work practices.
  6. Perform Site Safety Audits: Conduct regular site safety audits to identify areas of non-compliance and develop strategies to address them.
  7. Work with Operations Team: Collaborate with the operations team to implement solutions to eliminate exposure to risks and prevent injuries.
  8. Attend to Incidents and Occupational Injury Cases: Investigate and respond to incidents and occupational injury cases in a timely and effective manner.
  9. Guide and Assist Area Managers: Provide guidance and support to area managers on incident investigations, Gensuite write-ups, and communication of lessons learned.
  10. Audit Record-Keeping Practices: Ensure accurate and compliant record-keeping practices in Gensuite.
  11. Ensure PPE Inventory and Procurement: Manage the PPE inventory and coordinate with procurement for order placement.
  12. Key Safety Requirement (KSR) Audit: Conduct weekly KSR audits and provide support to ensure compliance.
  13. Ensure Basic Fire Fighting and First Aid Training: Ensure all employees complete basic fire fighting and first aid training.
  14. Daily Powered Industrial Tool and Trailer Dock Release Inspection: Conduct daily inspections of powered industrial tools and trailer dock releases.
  15. Daily Action Tracking System Monitoring: Monitor the Action Tracking System and provide support as needed.
  16. Participate in Site Management Safety Walk: Participate in site management safety walks to identify areas of improvement.
  17. Provide Daily Update to Country WHS Manager: Provide daily updates to the country WHS manager on objectives progress, incidents, KSR, ATS, network actions, etc.
  18. Prepare WHS Committee Meeting Agenda: Prepare the WHS committee meeting agenda, MOM write-up, and ATS creation.
  19. Daily Permit to Work Review and Sign Off: Review and sign off on daily permits to work.
  20. Lead on WHS Related Procurement: Lead on WHS-related procurement and follow-up.
  21. Prepare Emergency Response Plans: Prepare emergency response plans and conduct emergency drills.
  22. Manage and Conduct Emergency Drills: Manage and conduct emergency drills, prepare records, and ensure compliance.
  23. Manage Preparation and Training of Emergency Drills: Manage the preparation and training of emergency drills, prepare records, and ensure compliance.
  24. Establish, Monitor, and Support Heat Index: Establish, monitor, and support the heat index program.
  25. Provide Support to Site Specific Requests: Provide support to site-specific requests, unplanned events, and activities.
  26. Conduct Daily and Weekly WHS Audits: Conduct daily and weekly WHS audits, including hazard waste room inspections, spill kit inspections, first aid room inspections, etc.
Requirements
  1. Strong Communication and Teamwork Skills: Possess strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with employees and management.
  2. Ability to Adapt to Fast-Paced Environments: Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy.
  3. Experience Leading and Managing a Team: Experience leading and managing a team to achieve safety objectives.
  4. Ability to Analyze Accident Data: Ability to analyze accident data, new processes, and machinery for potential safety concerns and conduct job hazard and job safety analyses.
  5. Experience in Emergency Response: Experience in emergency response and currently holds First aid and CPR certificates.
  6. Experience in Worker's Compensation Case Management: Experience in Worker's Compensation case management.
  7. Analyzing and Manipulating Data: Ability to analyze and manipulate data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  8. Passion for Safety: Possess a passion for safety and a commitment to ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
