About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Station Manager to oversee and support the daily operations of our repair shop facility. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in MRO or related fields and supervisory experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Facility Management: Ensure all work on aircraft components is performed to the specified standards and procedures stated in Part 145 and OEM requirements.
- Quality Culture: Create and implement a quality culture within the repair shop, focusing on corrective actions resulting from quality compliance monitoring.
- Customer Quoting: Provide accurate quotes for repair work to customers.
- Local Sales/Service Additions: Pursue local sales/service additions to increase revenue.
- Operational Performance: Achieve operational budgets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Staffing Management: Maintain staffing levels, including hire and performance management of local staff.
- Training and Development: Ensure all staff training and training records are completed and staff are assessed and issued with Unilode approvals.
- Spare Parts Management: Ensure adequate spares holdings for the facility's operations.
- Tooling and Machinery: Provide adequate, serviceable tooling and machinery to perform tasks.
- Additional Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Trade-based qualification, tertiary business studies, and/or aviation qualifications (e.g., A&P License).
- Experience: Practical experience in MRO or related fields and supervisory experience.
- Skills: Ability to develop and maintain relationships internally and externally, work independently with limited supervision, solid knowledge of employee relations laws and workplace safety regulations, experience with employee recruitment and performance management, inventory management/purchasing of aircraft parts, effective communication with the leadership team, corporate HQ, and the MRO organization, strong business acumen, communication, and negotiation skills with customers and suppliers, and a strong staff development and team performance track record.
