Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Quality Strategy: Develop and implement a quality management strategy and plans, including resources, systems, timescales, and financials, to support, contribute to, and integrate within, our annual business plan and long-term strategy.
- Develop and Implement Communication Strategies: Develop and implement necessary communication strategies to improve awareness of quality issues across all departments.
- Manage Departmental Activities: Plan and manage departmental activities in accordance with agreed budgets and timescales.
- Report Changes in Standards: Report as necessary on changes in standards (internally and externally initiated) and on performance against standards to keep us updated on all new issues.
- Liaise and Cooperate with Quality Bodies: Liaise and cooperate with quality management and standards bodies (e.g., ISO, Government Departments, HSE, etc) to manage staff according to company standards (appraisals, discipline, training, development, etc).
- Liaise with Customers and Suppliers: Liaise with customers and suppliers where necessary (where impacted/affected by quality issues) to ensure effective implementation of our standards at all levels of the value chain.
- Introduce Training Initiatives: Introduce, promote, and undertake training and other development initiatives to assist in the development of a changing culture to support the continual improvement process.
- Effectively Manage KPIs: Effective management of set KPIs of the department and timely reporting.
- Develop and Manage CAPA Program: Develop and manage an effective CAPA (Corrective action & Preventive action) program to investigate and resolve product quality issues, defects, non-conformities, and consumer complaints.
- Support Teams: Support teams and employ effective problem-solving techniques (DMAIC, Fishbone, etc.). Proactively identify areas of improvement and implement preventive actions.
- Coordinate Quality Review Meetings: Coordinate with cross-functional teams for Quality review meetings, lead daily coordination meetings to discuss ongoing issues, and follow up daily on proposed corrective actions.
- Develop and Execute Auditing Programs: Develop and execute internal, as well as external partner quality auditing programs to ensure compliance with GMP, policies/procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze Opportunities for Improvement: Analyze all available criteria (and establish key criteria if not available) to identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement.
- Collate Quality Related Data: Collate all the Quality related data followed by trend analysis and interpretations for further continual improvement.
- Ensure Quality Oversight: Ensure quality oversight during new processes and product development and provide technical support during validation and commissioning activities.
