About the Role:
Asterix Communications is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team in Riyadh. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment with a focus on Zero Accident.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits at all projects to identify and mitigate hazards.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, maintaining a central file for safety statistics and advising on corrective actions.
- Develop and implement project-specific safety plans, ensuring compliance with client and contract administrator requirements.
- Coordinate with the contract administrator on site safety activities, training programs, and emergency procedures.
- Administer training programs for personnel on safety devices and procedures.
- Prepare and submit reports on project safety status and other required documents.
- Participate in weekly progress meetings and conduct toolbox meetings with craftsmen.
- Ensure compliance with specific safety requirements for subcontractors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or science or equivalent.
- 10 years of field experience as a Health, Safety, and Environment officer.
- Professional OHS qualification by examination (NEBOSH Diploma or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety from an accredited institution).
- Ability to communicate effectively with all nationalities.
