Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Assistant Consultant to join our team at Home Instead-Bettendorf, IA. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing medical care in the field of Critical Care and supervising interns and residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Responsibilities:
    • Assist Consultants in providing required patient care and management in the field of Critical Care, in accordance with standards of medical care laid down by the Healthcare Delivery.
    • Study and perform assessment, examination, and compilation of a case history, and assist in the diagnosis and management of patients in accordance with criteria listed in diagnostic manuals.
    • Register detailed medical history, conduct thorough physical examinations, and create plans for patient management and follow-up for discussion with Consultants.
    • Provide on-call coverage for their specialty on a rotational basis during evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
    • Prepare for and participate in Consultant and Specialist Ward Rounds as per policy, documenting findings in medical records.
    • Follow up on investigation results for outpatients and modify treatment accordingly.
    • Attend Specialty Clinics, Outpatient Clinics, and share on-call schedules as per requirements.
    • Perform other clinical responsibilities as assigned.
  • Academic Responsibilities:
    • Provide orientation, bedside training, and supervision of interns, residents, and fellows as assigned.
    • Keep abreast of all the latest techniques and developments, especially in the area of specialization, and implement them on a selective basis to improve technical standards.
    • Participate in educational activities and training programs of the department.
    • Participate in national and international medical conferences.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a medical school in good standing, completion of required period of postgraduate training in a specialty and/or subspecialty, with Saudi/American Board or Canadian/UK certification, or equivalent as outlined by the Medical Staff Credentialing Committee.
  • Two (2) years of training in specialty and subspecialty plus post-training experience required.
