We are seeking a highly skilled QAQC & Material Engineer with a minimum of 12 years of experience to oversee quality assurance and quality control processes, as well as manage materials used in construction projects. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring adherence to quality standards, compliance with regulations, and the effective use of materials in construction activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific QAQC plans to ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address quality issues, and implement corrective actions for identified non-conformities.
- Oversee the selection, testing, and approval of construction materials to ensure their quality and suitability for use in construction projects.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality materials and to address any quality-related concerns.
- Conduct material testing and analysis to verify compliance with specifications and to identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of QAQC activities, inspection reports, and material test results to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Generate comprehensive reports for project stakeholders to keep them informed about QAQC activities and progress.
- Conduct internal and external audits to assess the effectiveness of QAQC processes and to identify areas for improvement.
- Work with third-party auditors to ensure compliance with industry standards and to address any quality-related concerns.
- Provide training on QAQC procedures and material specifications to project teams to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their duties effectively.
- Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement within the organization to ensure that quality is embedded in all aspects of the business.
- Stay informed about local and international regulations related to QAQC and materials used in construction to ensure compliance and to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory requirements to avoid any quality-related issues or non-compliance.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to address quality-related concerns and to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives based on lessons learned from previous projects to ensure that quality is continuously improved.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in QAQC and material engineering within the construction industry.
- Professional certifications related to QAQC and materials are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, testing methods, and quality control procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and address quality issues.
- Proficient in using QAQC software and tools.
