Job Description

Eram Talent, a leading talent acquisition consultancy, is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Market Development Specialist for their Oil & Energy division.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Negotiate Sales Strategies: Provide technical, commercial, and logistical support for the development and negotiation of sales and purchase contract procurement strategies.
  2. Coordinate Business Planning: Coordinate technical, commercial, legal, administrative, financial, and operational planning and support for administering all agreements.
  3. Forecast Crude and Product Deliveries: Prepare forecasts of domestic and international crude and product deliveries using cargo nominations from both domestic and international customers.
  4. Cargo Scheduling and Coordination: Handle all routine and abnormal coordination of cargo scheduling, vessel berthing, documentation, and management reporting concerning crude and product deliveries.
  5. Customer Service and Coordination: Coordinate customer vessel schedule and cargo change requests to meet customer needs while maximizing quota sales revenues and maintaining crude production forecasts and domestic refinery demand.
  6. Product Scheduling and Inventory Management: Coordinate scheduling imported products with the Product Sales and Marketing department, customers, OSPAS, terminals, and refineries to meet local demand and manage inventories along with local refinery production.
  7. Tanker Voyage Monitoring: Monitor progress of tanker voyages to ensure that deliveries are met in the most economic and efficient manner within the commitments and terms of applicable sales or purchase agreements.
  8. Cargo Measurement and Data Assurance: Monitor cargo movement and measurement operations and data provided by specialized service contractors to assure that sales volumes invoiced or paid are accurate and in accordance with applicable sales or purchase agreements.
  9. Service Contractor Performance Monitoring: Monitor performance and costs of service contractors to assure that Saudi Aramco and industry standards are adhered to and minimize voyage and storage losses.
  10. Vessel Laytime and Demurrage Monitoring: Monitor vessel laytime and demurrage to assure that any amounts invoiced or paid are accurate and in accordance with applicable sales or purchase agreements.
  11. Business Communications and Relations: Maintain business communications and relations with all customers, suppliers, and service companies in regard to ongoing operations, inquiries, or disputes.
  12. Team Supervision and HR Management: Provide direct supervision to lower-level employees and perform all human resources management functions normally performed by a unit head.
  13. Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other job requested by the Department Manager.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, any of the Physical Sciences, Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Maritime Studies, Maritime Law, or Naval Architecture.
  2. Experience: At least twelve (12) years' experience in the oil industry with a background in either Petroleum Sales/Supply Logistics, Commercial Shipping, Maritime Law, Refinery or Terminal Planning or Operations, Petroleum Accounting or Auditing.
  3. Enhanced Experience: Enhanced experience shall include seagoing experience on bulk petroleum tankers while holding a United Kingdom Department of Transport Class 1, Foreign Going (Deck) Certificate of Competency or employment as an independent marine/petroleum cargo surveyor plus management level experience with an industry-respected inspection firm.
  4. Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communications in English is an absolute requirement; knowledge of verbal and written Arabic is a plus but not a requirement.
