Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced WHS Officer to join our team at Afaq - Warehouse Branch. As a WHS Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all applicable Amazon WHS standards and policies, and identify and mitigate potential risks to employees and customers.
  2. Site Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify non-compliance equipment and processes, and implement solutions to eliminate exposure to risks and prevent injuries.
  3. Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to site leadership and employees on their responsibilities under each policy, and audit the quality and effectiveness of required safety training.
  4. Incident Investigation and Reporting: Investigate and report on incidents, and ensure proper incident investigation and closure of corrective and preventive actions.
  5. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with site leadership and employees to ensure open communication and a culture of safety, and provide regular updates on safety performance and initiatives.
Requirements
  1. WHS Experience: Minimum 2 years of growing responsibilities in safety and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations.
  2. Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental, ergonomics, or a related field, and NEBOSH or IOSH certification.
  3. Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments, and experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
