Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our team as an H-60 Helicopter Maintenance Specialist. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and complex maintenance tasks on H-60 helicopters, including inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of hydraulic components, flight controls, pumps, landing gear, and other systems.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft systems, assemblies, and components to identify and diagnose issues.
  • Disassemble and reassemble components and subsystems, and determine required repairs and complete checkout procedures to ensure proper operation.
  • Use precision measuring instruments, special tools, and test stands to perform maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure effective and efficient maintenance operations.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including maintenance records and reports.
Requirements
  • 8 years of experience performing complex helicopter mechanical work, including inspection, assembly/disassembly, repair, and replacement of various hydraulic components, airframes, and landing gear systems.
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Work Environment
