Job Summary

The Islamic Development Bank is seeking a highly skilled Senior Investment Portfolio Specialist to join its Equity Investments team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring the performance of direct equity investments, both public and private, to ensure higher returns generation within a defined risk profile.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investment Portfolio Management
    • Monitor the performance of each allocated investee company and prepare in-depth analysis of the investee companies.
    • Define and execute exit strategies, leading and coordinating the intervention of all required stakeholders to successfully meet the objective.
    • Participate in portfolio management tasks, including preparing monthly reporting and regular valuation efforts.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting
    • Conduct technical analysis and prepare detailed portfolio review reports for submission to management.
    • Prepare various status update reports on investee companies, performance reports of equity investment portfolios, market trends analysis, and potential impact on investments.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Provide technical guidance and review the work delivered by lesser-experienced team members.
    • Ensure effective implementation and adherence to policies, procedures, and controls to fulfill relevant procedural and legislative requirements.
    • Keep abreast with the latest developments, regulations, and best practices in the field and propose improvements in the Islamic Development Bank.
  • Academic and Professional Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in economics, business administration, finance, investments, or a related discipline.
    • Minimum 8 years of experience in Asset Management/Investment Banking, with 4 years in Investment/Asset Management.
  • Skills and Necessary Knowledge
    • Advanced knowledge of investment markets in relevant asset classes.
    • Advanced knowledge of investment risk-return assessment.
    • Advanced knowledge of financial analysis.
    • Advanced knowledge of optimal portfolio theory.
