The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insurance Underwriting Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling the day-to-day operations of the Underwriting Support Function, including obtaining necessary information for risk assessment and managing all types of insurance products.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Head, USF in managing the day-to-day work of the Credit Information to ensure achieving its mandates.
- Support the management of credit information sources, manage relations with sources, and help optimize credit information cost.
- Gather credit information on buyers and banks and complete files for risk assessment.
- Participate in developing, maintaining, and managing databases of basic information of counterparty entities.
- Register and process credit limit applications under all types of insurance products in a timely manner.
- Create, maintain, and manage folders for buyers, banks, and policies to save relevant documents.
- Update information about buyers/importers/financial institutions etc. on a periodic basis.
- Identify new sources for credit information by exploring credit information agencies, third-party online and offline databases, etc.
- Ensure maximum utilization of free information sources and recommend participation in agreements signed by ISDB Group with information providers.
- Conduct questionnaires and request views of Underwriters and end-users on the quality of information received by ICIEC from its vendors.
