Job Title: Senior Executive Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Executive Manager to lead our solution architect and analysis team in delivering high-quality, high-performance, innovative, and fit-for-purpose systems that meet the business requirements of BUPA Arabia.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Leadership: Lead the technical architects, system design, and system analysts team to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
  2. Technical Solutioning: Find the best technical solution among all possible to solve business problems and requirements.
  3. Technical Documentation: Review, describe, and document the technical structure, characteristics, behavior, and other aspects of software.
  4. Feature and Solution Definition: Review and define features, phases, and solution requirements.
  5. Specifications and Delivery: Review and provide specifications according to which the solution is defined, managed, and delivered.
  6. System Architecture: Review, prepare, and maintain the system architecture to help teams develop the product on time, on budget, and ensure it solves the problem it was designed to solve.

Accountabilities:

  1. System Design:
    1. Develop and maintain a model of BUPA Arabia's current and future Application Architecture.
    2. Prepare business cases for IT solutions, considering infrastructure, licenses, development, and support.
    3. Establish a clear and long-lasting applications architecture and integration plans for all applications and their interfaces.
    4. Monitor and recommend changes to improve the reliability, scalability, extensibility, security, and performance of developed systems.
    5. Assess the systems architecture currently in place and work with technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it.
    6. Review and propose solutions for technical problems as they arise.
    7. Support and guide development teams to implement latest technologies.
    8. Continually research current and emerging technologies and propose changes where needed.
    9. Assess the business impact that certain technical choices have.
    10. Provide updates to stakeholders on product development processes.
    11. Research, compare, analyze, and recommend the best technical solution appropriate and suited for the business requirements.
    12. Ability to adapt to emergent architectural needs, managing customer expectations.
    13. Develop prototype and PoC with documentations.
  2. System Analysis:
    1. Analyze technical environments and assure compliance with required standards.
    2. Analyze enterprise specifics and assure futuristic technical solutions are implemented for the business requirements.
    3. Create solution prototypes to prove the solution works in current and future environments.
    4. Participate in technology selection to identify the best systems.
    5. Evaluate and recommend state-of-the-art development tools for use within the systems.
  3. Manage Central Standards:
    1. Set the collaboration framework, coding standards, policy, and procedures.
    2. Define the technical documentation standard to be used by the development team and ensure the process of maintaining it is in place.
    3. Implement best practices in Source Code management solutions like DevOps to ensure all teams, including vendors, follow the standards set.
    4. Conduct code reviews to assure best practices are adopted during application development and written codes are secure using manual and automated methods.
    5. Conduct application stress, load, and performance testing.
  4. Resource and Project Management:
    1. Manage PMS activities like set objectives, mid-year review, and year-end reviews of reportees.
    2. Engage relevant employees in identifying appropriate actions and gaining their commitment to assisting in delivery.
    3. Identify the project functional/technical resources and build the API & Middleware team.
    4. Prepare a communication plan showing all application team members, roles, and escalation procedures.
    5. Monitor and follow up with resources on their assigned tasks to ensure timely delivery.
    6. Ensure timely escalation is done if a resource is not delivering the required quality to avoid impact on any application-related deliveries.
    7. Ensure the most effective use of information technology teams and members assigned and contributing to information technology programs and projects.
    8. Ensure that IT programs and projects risks are identified, analyzed, mitigated, and escalated, and handled as appropriate for the business requirements.
    9. Develop and maintain methodologies, approaches, standard templates, documentation, status updates, and data to support programs within IT.
    10. Lead information technology programs and projects update meetings and reviews with management, department heads, leads, and team members.
    11. Ensure communication for development & technologies with internal stakeholders (for example, Audit, IT Governance, High Management).
