Role Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Executive Chef to join our culinary team at Calo Inc. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will work closely with our Head Chef to ensure seamless operations and maintain the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation in our menu offerings.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our Food Development Team to design and update menus, ensuring a perfect balance of flavors and ingredients.
  • Work closely with our culinary team to create new dishes and specials that meet the evolving tastes and preferences of our customers.
  • Oversee all aspects of food preparation, dispatch, and logistics to guarantee consistency and high-quality standards across all our locations.
  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment at all times.
  • Monitor and manage food inventory levels to minimize waste and optimize costs, contributing to the company's sustainability goals.
  • Lead and train our kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and assistants, to ensure smooth operations and high-quality service.
  • Develop and implement effective kitchen staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during operating hours.
  • Implement and enforce recipe guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Plan and allocate employee rotations across different kitchen sections based on business needs and levels.
  • Be responsible for the overall food safety and hygiene of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Investigate customer complaints and issues in collaboration with our Customer Experience, Quality, and Food teams.
  • Review monthly forecasts and adjust resources accordingly to meet operational budget requirements.
  • Assign tasks effectively and ensure accountability among kitchen staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Participate in bi-annual performance reviews and provide regular feedback to employees on their job performance.

Ideal Candidate

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Senior Executive Chef or Head Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Professional culinary training or apprenticeship.
  • At least 10 years of experience in quality establishments, with a strong background in healthy food concepts.
  • Experience in the hospitality or catering industry is highly valued.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to lead and train staff effectively.
  • Must be currently based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Knowledge and Competency

  • Extensive knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and time-management skills.

  • Strong communicator with a pleasant personality, able to lead and train with empathy and patience.
