We are seeking a talented and experienced Vitro Retinal and Phaco Product Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for you to develop and coordinate implementation of short, medium, and long-term plans through strategic planning, business plan development, and marketing planning for product lines.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring achievement of products' targets through partnerships and national managers and distributors, as well as profitability and growth, and implementing plans in regions.

A Day in the Life

  • Customer Needs Analysis: Identify and analyze customer needs and market segment dynamics to develop, communicate, and coordinate strategic product plans, business plans, marketing plans, and budget plans in compliance with international strategies.
  • Coordinating Implementation: Coordinate the implementation of promotion plans for vitro retinal and phaco equipment and other product lines through national managers, product managers, and distributors to ensure timely and appropriate implementation and follow-up of strategies and tactics.
  • Sales Forecasting: Support monthly sales forecasting for respective product lines based on feedback from national managers and product managers, as well as market knowledge, to ensure continuous availability and achievement of inventory targets.
  • Investment Management: Manage promotion expenses and allocate them to the A&P budget accordingly with distributor marketing plans.
  • New Opportunities Identification: Identify opportunities for new products or services with national managers, country managers, and distributors to achieve growth targets.
  • Relationship Building: Establish strong relationships with distributors, opinion leaders, and key external individuals to keep product lines updated, taking into account requirements from the environment.
  • Market Data Tracking: Identify and implement systems and methodologies to track market data, including active equipment installed bases, market shares, tender management, and market intelligence.
  • Reporting: Conduct all required regional or local reports at required dates.
  • Long-Term Planning: Forecast annual and long-term MS/IB of assigned products.

Requirements

  • Education: Health sciences bachelor's degree, preferably with a marketing or business master's degree as a plus.
  • Experience: At least 8 years of experience in sales, commercial, or marketing for medical devices, with at least 2-3 years of marketing experience alone, preferably in surgical ophthalmology as a plus.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer, high level of English fluency with Arabic language as a plus, marketing and strategic planning.
  • Middle East Knowledge: Middle East knowledge and distributor market setup are considered a plus.
  • Travel Requirements: Willing to travel extensively (30%-40%) across the Middle East regions.
