About the Role

The Field Clinical Specialist will provide expert clinical product and technical assistance and training to physicians, technicians, and sales representatives on the effective and safe use of the Boston Scientific Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) portfolio, as well as Farapulse equipment, which is part of our electrophysiology (EP) portfolio.

This hybrid role offers a permanent position, and a combination of field-based and office work. As a Field Clinical Specialist, you will be responsible for the Riyadh region, and will cover this area with frequent weekly travel (up to five days per week) to visit clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serves as primary resource for clinical support in the areas of case coverage, basic troubleshooting, system, and software development.
  • Educates customers and internal Boston Scientific employees on the merits and proper clinical usage of the CRM portfolio and Farapulse device by giving presentations and demonstrations using a wide variety of formats and platforms (e.g., slides, transparencies, manuals) to keep all abreast of the latest product and technology developments.
  • Attends cases in labs of hospital accounts for case support and development efforts across the relevant portfolios.
  • Providing initial and continuous, as needed, training and feedback for development team and sales representatives (as appropriate), development process, products and features, and procedures involving those products and features.
  • Meets with existing and potential clients (e.g., physicians, physician office groups at hospitals) by traveling (in an automobile or airplane) to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care and to discuss and demonstrate how company products can help them to achieve their goals.
  • Develops relationships with hospital personnel (e.g., through casual conversation, meetings, participation in conferences) to make new contacts in other departments within hospitals and to identify key decision makers to facilitate future sales.
  • Responds to customer needs and complaints regarding products and service by developing creative and feasible solutions or working with other related personnel (e.g., sales, clinical research, marketing, technical support) to develop optimal solutions.
  • In this role, you will be responsible for the Riyadh area, and may on occasion be required to support colleagues in neighboring regions.
  • This hybrid role requires frequent weekly travel (up to five days per week based on customer needs), and presence in the Riyadh office when not visiting clients.
Requirements
  • Successfully completed studies within Biomedical Sciences (or a similar subject area), preferably within cardiac rhythm management or electrophysiology.
  • Professional industry experience in a similar role (such as a Technician, Sales Representative or Nursing within the cardiovascular field) is beneficial, however, not a requirement.
  • Can understand and communicate complex technical and clinical details.
  • Professional working proficiency language skills in both Arabic and English.
  • Can rapidly adapt to a very dynamic marketplace.
  • Strong team player, collaborative, ability to build relationships and work cross-functionally.
  • Self-motivated and able to influence others.
  • Flexible, adaptable but focused and persistent.
  • Willing and can travel extensively as required by workload.
  • Holder of an eligible driver's license for operating a vehicle as required for the role.
