IT Director

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled IT professional to lead our technology strategy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) branch. As the Head of IT for this region, you will be responsible for setting and managing the strategic IT agenda in collaboration with EXCO and Group colleagues.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building and operating technology for digital banks, managing outsourcing agreements and service providers, and leading and managing employees. A strong working knowledge of enterprise applications, technical infrastructure, web and mobile technologies, and IT security is essential.

This role requires effective stakeholder management both locally and group-wide, covering areas such as business, information security, compliance, and data privacy. You will also ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations, adhering to First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) Group policies and local regulations.

1. IT Strategy: Align with Head Office's global strategy to develop a tailored technology roadmap for the branch. Provide updates on IT deliverables, influence technology solutions based on business needs, and advise leadership on enhancing operational efficiency and customer experience.
2. IT Operations: Ensure smooth operation of IT hardware and applications, timely issue resolution, system assessments, and compliance with head office policies and local regulations.
3. Leadership Management: Oversee IT team and outsourced service providers, create resource allocation and development plans, manage the annual IT budget, and provide guidance to senior management on IT-related matters.
4. Technology Implementation: Implement adequate technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits.
5. Information & Cyber Security: Address external threats, manage security incidents, and implement data protection measures.
6. Governance & Compliance: Establish governance frameworks, ensure adherence to regulations, and conduct continuous monitoring of internal and vendor environments.
7. Procurement & Project Management: Handle IT equipment procurement and manage local IT initiatives with favorable terms.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Masters or Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related qualification.
• Experience in building and operating technology for digital banks.
• Experience in managing outsourcing agreements and service providers.
• Certification in Cloud, Project Management Professional (PMP), COBIT, CISSP and/or other relevant technical certifications will be an advantage.
• At least 12 years of relevant work experience in IT infrastructure and operations, inclusive of at least 5 years' experience in leading and managing employees.
• Good track record in IT strategy development, solution design, programme and project delivery and service management.
• Strong working knowledge in enterprise applications, technical infrastructure, web and mobile technologies and IT security.
