Role Overview
We are a global FMCG company seeking a highly experienced Category Director to lead the growth of our meat division. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the industry and a proven track record in both B2B and B2C markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance the performance of the meat category across diverse markets.
- Identify and capitalise on growth opportunities, building robust business models and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Lead the development and execution of marketing strategies to drive consumer engagement and increase market share.
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing cross-functional teams to achieve category goals and deliver business results.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure seamless execution of category strategies.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to inform strategic decisions.
- Oversight of category budgets, pricing strategies, and profitability targets, ensuring sustainable growth and cost optimisation.
Requirements
- Minimum 20 years in the FMCG sector, with at least 15 years in the meat industry.
- Extensive exposure to both B2B and B2C business models.
- Strong background in marketing, business development, or a related strategic function.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, manage complex projects, and influence stakeholders across all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement long-term growth strategies for a competitive market.
- In-depth understanding of the Middle Eastern FMCG market, including consumer behaviour, regulatory environment, and cultural dynamics.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance strategic priorities and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- International experience in diverse and multicultural environments.
