About the Role

As a NE Sales Engineer at Otis, you will be responsible for supporting the new equipment operations of our company. Your primary goal will be to grow the market share for Otis by negotiating new contracts, updating contractual terms, and providing competitive intelligence.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:
  • Providing Insights: You will be responsible for generating management information and insights on all dimensions of work area performance to facilitate discussion and decision-making.
  • Following Procedures: You must follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that your work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Sales Strategy Execution: You will work under the guidance of the Manager – New Equipment to prepare contracts, negotiate and finalize agreements with clients based on established guidelines.
  • Document Preparation: You will be responsible for preparing pre-qualification and technical documents to support new equipment proposals within Otis – Entity.
  • Estimate and Quotation: You will prepare estimates and issue quotations based on project scope and Otis products pitched to the client.
  • Liaising with Clients: You will liaise with clients to negotiate new equipment contracts, ensuring all potential client risks are addressed under the renewal terms.
  • Market Share Growth: You will execute sales strategies to increase the market share of Otis – Entity across all product lines within the assigned markets.
  • Relationship Building: You will develop a strong relationship with developers/contractors within Otis – Entity by regularly engaging with key contacts and positioning Otis favorably for all new equipment projects.
  • Contract Implementation: You will coordinate with the Aftermarket and Service Department to ensure that the terms and conditions of all new equipment agreements are implemented.
  • Product Inspection: You will conduct inspections on all new equipment products delivered and installed at client locations as per contractual requirements to ascertain the completion of the scope of work.
  • Competitive Awareness: You will build competitive awareness of the products being offered in the market to help position Otis – Entity as the preferred provider on all new equipment proposals.
  • Payment Collection: You will assist the Finance Department with the timely collection of payments based on contracting agreements.
  • New Equipment Contracts Database: You will maintain and update the new equipment contracts database in the MIS system and provide periodic reports from this and other relevant sources to show the latest status of all contract activity.
  • Sales Reports and Forecasts: You will prepare sales reports, pipeline forecasts as requested by management.
  • Compliance and Quality: You will execute sales operations with strict compliance to quality procedures and ISO policies of the company.
