About the Role

Mace Group is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our Façades team on a major mixed-use development project in Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee all phases of construction projects from planning and design to execution and completion, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Actively interface and engage in the technical design process, covering design works, technical services, surveys, studies, site investigations, reports, and statutory approvals.
  • Support the client's team in creating project briefs and RFI documentation based on the client's needs and required results.
  • Collaborate with design teams and lead design consultants to maximize quality and value while minimizing the risk profile for the project.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand their expectations, ensuring that health and safety initiatives meet and exceed these expectations.
  • Develop, implement, and manage health and safety strategies to ensure a safe and healthy environment across the project.
  • Develop the project's departmental strategy to establish and implement policies, standards, and guidelines for modern methods of construction (MMC).
  • Contribute to the establishment of the project execution plan, health and safety plan, QA/QC, and other documents as required.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with the supply chain management and procurement teams to negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Work in collaboration with the planning team to contribute to an overarching construction programme for the project, including interfaces, stakeholders, procurement, commercial, and design programmes.
  • Report and monitor construction project façade progress against the schedule and cost plan, highlighting concerns, providing recommendations, and implementing agreed mitigation.
  • Define all project plan documents, including the scope and financial plans, schedule, and risk management plans required on the project structural package.
  • Assist the construction lead in the development and distribution of presentations, weekly, and monthly reporting on all aspects of the project.
  • Direct and supervise a team of construction professionals, providing guidance and support.
  • Capitalize on extensive knowledge and experience of global innovation in the latest construction methods and materials to meet the client's sustainability targets.
  • In collaboration with the project team, review supervision consultants' recommendations for extension of time or recovery plans to include contractor claims.
  • Plan, direct, supervise, and control the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned project.
  • Ensure resources are appropriate to meet current and future commitments and to maximize opportunities.
  • Contribute to the resolution of technical issues on projects and provide technical guidance to other team members, such as technicians, junior engineers, and graduates.
  • Subject matter expert in façade elements of the project.
  • In collaboration with the commercial teams, ensure the submission of monthly invoices by the contractors, develop and update the project cash flow forecast, and prepare estimates for variations.
Requirements
  • A relevant degree qualification.
  • Chartership or pursuing a similar level of professional qualifications.
  • Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and relevant work experience working on high-valued projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Extensive construction façade experience.
  • Working experience in the MEA region.
  • Influential skills - experience in leading or senior role on major construction projects.
