Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the provision of Transport data to Transport projects to inform system design.
  • Develop phasing plans and measure against capacity of networks to inform when roads and transport systems need to be activated to meet development phasing.
  • Support Roads projects assigned by development.
  • Support Parking projects assigned by development.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to ensure integration with regional mobility.
  • Inform and test development controls via Traffic Impact Studies at district, asset or precinct level.
  • Manage all internal and external governance interactions including those required for approvals and stakeholder interaction.
  • Manage activities required to undertake your responsibilities, including consultant procurement, management, and contract management.
  • Prepare preparations for opening and operational readiness scenarios specific to transport modes.
  • Assess impacts as a result of changes or other factors, including the impacts on cost, time and quality.
  • Support other job families as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 18 - 20 years of experience in transport planning with a focus on large-scale projects for urban networks.
  • Proven expertise in transport modeling, traffic analysis, and strategic planning methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering complex transport initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in transport planning.
  • Familiarity with sustainability principles in transport systems design and implementation.
  • Proficient in transport planning software and tools.
