Job Description

The HSE Engineer plays a pivotal role in supporting the Company HSE Manager/Project HSE Manager to implement the HSE management system. This includes planning, implementation, evaluation, and analysis of HSE activities at site to ensure HSE targets and objectives are measured and achieved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the Project Health and Safety Management Plan (PHSP)
  • Conduct and participate in training sessions, HSE Committee, and Coordination Meetings to enhance HSE awareness and compliance
  • Provide guidance to supervisory staff on accident prevention and improvement related to work methods
  • Lead and supervise HSE officers onsite to ensure effective implementation of HSE practices
  • Monitor the execution of HSE activities on a project to ensure compliance with the project HSE plan and HSEMS requirements
  • Identify existing hazards, unsafe work conditions, and/or practices on a daily basis and report them for corrective measures
  • Ensure timely reporting of project HSE performance and achieve HSE goals on the project
Knowledge & Skills

A strong understanding of relevant safety regulations, procedures, and instructions is essential. Knowledge of Qatar and International Safety Standards, integrated Management System, environmental regulations, including air, wastewater, and hazardous waste, is also required. Additionally, expertise in Chemical Material Management, pollution prevention, and waste minimization initiatives is necessary. Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably SAP, is a requirement for this role.
