  • Develop the Risk Management strategy plan and procedures for the project.
  • Develop and manage the project risk management register.
  • Manages and directs clients consultants contractors project team on all risk management matters.
  • Comprehensively identifying Risks that might impact on the achievement of the Program Objectives
  • Accurately assessing using both qualitative and quantitative methods the potential impacts of the identified Risks
  • Prioritizing the requirements for Risk response identification
  • Formulating appropriate responses to the identified Risks
  • Quantifying adequate cost and time provisions for postresponse residual Risk impacts
  • Controlling the implementation of identified Risk responses
  • Monitoring changes in Risk exposure identifying new Risks and modifying responses
  • Data gathering to support monthly risk reports; including report preparation
  • Establish Risk Management cadence including recurring meetings and reporting
  • Conduct regular risk workshops with different stakeholders
  • High degree of technical proficiency in implementing risk management procedures on major construction projects.
  • Understanding of key engineering concepts.
  • Strong understanding of construction projects decencies and interfaces within the project lifecycle
  • Technically proficient in one or more risk management tools (i.e. Active Risk Manager Primavera Risk Analysis etc).   
  • Proficient with quantitative cost and schedule analysis using Monte Carlo simulation techniques
  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholders at all levels in order to negotiate winwin situations
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a highly pressurized and everchanging work environment
  • High degree of competency in the use of Microsoft Office software (Excel Word & PowerPoint
  • Expert knowledge of risk tools techniques and software (e.g. Active Risk Manager riskHive @risk Primavera Risk Analyzer).
  • Ability to manage activities with significant uncertainty of solution or outcome.
  • Comprehensive knowledge planning tools (e.g. Programme P6 Astra MS project).
  • Practical knowledge of Power BI and other reporting suite tools.

Qualifications :

  • BSc construction management engineering planning management or equivalent
  • Min 12 years of experience
  • Chartered (or equivalent) membership of relevant professional institution(s) e.g. Association of Project Managers/Institute of Risk Management
