About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced medical professional to join our team as a Senior Medical Manager - Cell Therapy Specialist. This role will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with key stakeholders in the hematology/oncology community, including thought leaders, healthcare providers, and regulatory groups.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Represent the Company: Represent Gilead Sciences, Inc. at national and international scientific meetings, engaging in peer-to-peer scientific exchange and providing clinical/scientific presentations to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  2. Develop Relationships: Develop and foster strong scientific relationships with thought leaders, disease experts, and other healthcare providers, providing clinical/scientific presentations and facilitating meetings.
  3. Provide Insights: Compliantly provide internal teams with feedback and insights from interactions and discussions with healthcare providers, engaging in activities including site selection and activation for clinical trials.
  4. Support Clinical Trials: Provide support at professional meetings, including staffing exhibits, reporting on scientific sessions, and facilitating meetings with thought leaders and healthcare providers.
  5. Maintain Expertise: Maintain clinical, scientific, and technical expertise in hematology/oncology and the company's therapeutic areas of interest, representing the company and Medical Affairs during exchanges with the medical and scientific community.
  6. Establish Relationships: Establish and maintain ongoing long-term collaborative relationships with healthcare providers (including physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals) within assigned territory.
  7. Respond to Requests: Respond to and document unsolicited requests for scientific information, providing clinical input and training to internal functions and external partners as requested.
Requirements
  1. Advanced Medical Degree: The ideal candidate will have an advanced medical degree (e.g. Medical Doctor, PharmD, PhD, M.Sc., etc.).
  2. Significant Clinical Experience: Significant clinical practice and/or medical affairs experience in hematology/oncology therapeutic area, with a working understanding of hospital and community practice, especially hematology/oncology departments and healthcare systems in Saudi Arabia.
  3. Industry Experience: Industry experience is essential, ideally including recent experience of a successful launch within hematology or oncology.
  4. Regulatory Knowledge: Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance environment.
  5. Communication Skills: Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work with a high level of autonomy and independence, and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent judgment and ability to work in a team environment.
  6. Travel Requirements: Ability to travel domestically to cover assigned territories and internationally to attend company-organized events and conferences, which will include occasional weekend travel.
  7. Language Skills: Bilingual: Fluent in English is essential, Arabic is preferred.
