Job Summary

Parsons Oman is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator and Cost Analyst to support our team in Oman. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring project coordination, plans, schedules, and working hours, as well as providing administrative assistance and office support to ensure effective operation for the Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment, project's schedules, and information.
  • Liaise with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives, and ensure that client needs are met as the project evolves.
  • Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management.
  • Analyze risks and opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager/Engineer, Engineers to prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframe for the project.
  • Perform various coordinating tasks, such as schedule and risk management, along with administrative duties such as maintaining project documentation and handling project's files.
  • Perform administrative liaison functions between other Offices and the Construction Department & Sections Heads.
  • Filing, photocopy documents, and distribute as required per the standard procedures.
  • Maintain contract documents by listing the documents and storing them at the designated places.
  • Act as a point of contact and communicate project status to all participants and attend telephone calls as required.
  • Prepare and develop statistical reports to related work. And such other reports as needed by the Department.
  • Provide administrative support to other Departments in work-related responsibilities of the Construction Department.
  • Perform system maintenance functions, including updates to foundation tables and data integrity monitoring.
  • Utilize proven best practices in cost management to support project and program managers in making informed decisions about budget, expected spend profiles (forecasts), and potential risks and opportunities associated with cost management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field from a recognized University.
  • 2+ years of related project experience in project coordination, document controlling, administration, costing, support, and secretarial works.
  • Ability to prepare project's reports, organization structure, flow charts, schedules, and action plans.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is a must.
