Business Planner Position at MBC Group

MBC Group is seeking a highly skilled Business Planner to join its Content Commissioning Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing business plans to achieve department goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate current business processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance operational efficiency.
  2. Document all processes, creating detailed step-by-step guides and procedures to ensure seamless execution.
  3. Collaborate with department managers and stakeholders to integrate new processes into the company's operations.
  4. Develop and implement business plans to drive departmental success and meet strategic objectives.
  5. Assist the team in internal functions such as content performance review processes, strategic planning, metadata management, compliance, content policy, and more.
  6. Manage the financial aspects of the content commissioning unit, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
  7. Monitor the performance of commissioned content and identify opportunities for improvement or expansion.
  8. Document business requirements for automation and content data governance initiatives and ensure their implementation.
  9. Prepare feasibility studies for projects and manage them through implementation, leveraging project management skills.
  10. Ensure adherence to procedures and policies.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in business, media, finance, management, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role in the media industry.
  3. Strong process improvement skills, with experience in optimizing business processes.
  4. Excellent documentation skills, with experience creating detailed guides and procedures.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  6. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  7. Strong business acumen and financial management skills.
  8. Exposure to a multi-national business environment; experience in an ERP environment is highly desirable.
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, MS Projects, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  10. Background in financial and operational business modeling.
