Business Development Strategist, Content Commissioning Unit (CCU)

MBC Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Strategist to join its Content Commissioning Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, implementing and monitoring business plans for the unit, documenting and optimizing operational processes, and ensuring that goals are met and objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate current operational processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance business efficiency.
  2. Document all processes, creating detailed step-by-step guides and procedures to ensure that they can be easily followed and understood by all employees.
  3. Collaborate with department managers and other stakeholders to ensure that new processes are effectively integrated into the company's operations.
  4. Develop and implement business plans to achieve department goals and objectives, focusing on strategic business development.
  5. Assist the team in other internal functions such as content performance review processes, strategic planning, metadata, compliance, content policy, etc.
  6. Manage the financial aspects of the content commissioning unit, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting on performance.
  7. Monitor the performance of commissioned content and identify opportunities for improvement or potential areas for expansion.
  8. Document business requirements for automation and content data governance initiatives and ensure their implementation.
  9. Prepare feasibility studies for projects with the ability to manage them through implementation (Project Management).
  10. Ensure that procedures and policies are abided by.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in business, media, finance, management or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role in the media industry.
  3. Strong process improvement skills, with experience in optimizing business processes.
  4. Excellent documentation skills, with experience creating detailed step-by-step guides and procedures.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  6. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  7. Strong business acumen and financial management skills.
  8. Exposure to a multi-national business environment; experience in an ERP environment would be highly preferable.
  9. Proficiency in Word, Excel, MS Projects, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  10. Background in financial and operational business modeling.
