We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Architect to join our design development project team at Duncan & Ross. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural design development, procurement, and shop drawing production and review.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Package Preparation
    • Prepare comprehensive procurement packages, including technical specifications, drawings, and material requirements, ensuring they meet project standards, design intent, and local regulations.
    • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the availability and quality of materials.
  • Shop Drawing Production and Review
    • Lead the in-house team in producing detailed architectural shop drawings that accurately reflect design intent, project requirements, and specifications.
    • Review and assess shop drawings submitted by subcontractors to ensure they align with project specifications, design criteria, and quality standards.
  • Project Coordination and Quality Control
    • Work closely with structural, civil, MEP, and other engineering teams to ensure the effective integration of architectural elements into the overall project design.
    • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all architectural drawings and documents adhere to project standards, local building codes, and international best practices.
  • Design Input and Documentation
    • Provide design input and make necessary modifications to architectural plans based on site conditions, project development, or client requirements.
    • Prepare and maintain accurate and detailed documentation, including design drawings, review comments, and revision logs.
  • On-Site Support
    • Provide on-site support during construction phases, addressing any architectural issues that arise, and ensuring that work is executed according to approved shop drawings and design specifications.
Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree in Architecture or a related field; a Masters Degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural design development, procurement, and shop drawing production and review.
  • Immediate availability to join the project team.
  • Strong proficiency in architectural design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and other BIM tools.
  • Excellent knowledge of architectural design principles, local building codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Proven experience in preparing procurement packages and managing subcontractors.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
