Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Operations Manager to join our team at Accor. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our financial functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing exceptional customer service to our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial Operations
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the finance department, including cash receipts, payroll, accounts payable, and utility billing.
  • Ensure proper staffing, assist with questions and inquiries, and review work performed.
Customer Service
  • Establish and maintain customer service procedures to ensure prompt and effective resolution of complaints.
Financial Reporting
  • Prepare and review audit work papers for the annual audit, including reviewing information, researching files, and providing reports and miscellaneous information.
  • Manage the general ledger, record journal entries, and prepare balance sheets, financial statements, and other reports.
  • Oversee month and year-end procedures, analyzing information, creating reports, and monitoring and reviewing journal entries.
  • Reconcile general ledgers and bank statements, analyze general ledger for outstanding issues, and make appropriate changes under the direction of the Finance Director.
Leadership and Supervision
  • Supervise subordinate personnel of the Finance Department, coordinating their activities, including hiring, review, evaluation, and discipline of all Finance Department personnel.
  • Make recommendations to the Finance Director.
Special Projects
  • Independently handle a variety of special projects as assigned by the Finance Director.
Benefits Administration
  • Respond to employee questions regarding health, life, or disability insurance, and other benefits.
Reporting and Compliance
  • Prepare reports to IRMA, health, life, and disability insurance carriers, Illinois Comptroller, Illinois Department of Revenue, and others as directed by the Finance Director.

Requirements

  1. Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Financial Management.
Experience
  • Four years of experience in accounting or financial management.
Equivalent Combination
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
