About the Role:

The Men's Department Manager is a key leadership position responsible for driving sales, product, and team performance in the Men's Department. As a seasoned retail professional, you will lead and develop the business of the department, cultivating a comprehensive understanding of the market and relating to all relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and develop the business of the department, monitoring and achieving category department performance with relevant KPIs.
  2. Analyze the category business, propose and implement action plans to improve results.
  3. Set category performance targets for the team and individuals with the Store Manager.
  4. Be sensitive to competitors' trading activities and provide feedback to the Store Manager.

Client Management:

  1. Leverage all clienteling tools to achieve department and store business goals.
  2. Demonstrate sales leadership by delivering excellent customer service and implementing clienteling activities.
  3. Manage customer service quality to meet customer expectations by offering excellent customer service standards.
  4. Improve Mystery Shopper Results with action plans.
  5. Implement appropriate CRM tools and develop loyal customers in the particular product category.
  6. Act as brand category ambassador to educate VIP and new clients.
  7. Participate in ad-hoc Clientele projects.

Operations and Visual Merchandising:

  1. Ensure that merchandise is properly managed, displayed, stored, and maintained by the team.
  2. Maintain inventory accuracy and shrink rates within company standards.
  3. Report to Stock Planning and Merchandising team when there is an out of stock on best sellers.
  4. Maintain Visual Merchandising consistent with Company standards.
  5. Align periodically visual merchandising and sales performance.
  6. Optimize display and proximity storage.

Team Management and Development:

  1. Discuss individual performance every month and coach team members.
  2. Motivate the team to perform at their highest level to meet individual and store objectives.
  3. Organize the team efficiently according to business needs and delegate responsibilities.
  4. Translate strategic and business goals into concrete and individual actions and objectives.
  5. Conduct category training for the team.
  6. Execute the in-store training routine set by the Store Manager.

Requirements:

  1. 5 years' experience in a Supervisor role in Fashion/Luxury Sales with exposure to Men's product category.
  2. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is preferred.
  3. Fluency in English.
  4. Leadership and experience in managing large teams.
  5. Strong communication skills.
  6. Excellent relationship skills, self-reliant, approachable, and patient.
  7. Confidence, organizational skills, professionalism.
  8. Goal-oriented approach, multitasking.
  9. Client focus with great business acumen.
  10. Administration and financial skills.
  11. Computer skills and Retail management system knowledge.
  12. Strong knowledge and/or interest in the fashion/luxury industry.
