About the Role

The Process and Systems Senior Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the ongoing operational performance and customer Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met while maintaining the highest level of safety standards on site. This role will also be responsible for effective people management and asset management to deliver seamless quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Operational

  • Delivers as per agreed production, quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE), and control standards.
  • Develops costs and monitors them; obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications of processes and services.
  • Provides guidance to the development of a logistics process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, tooling, and equipment needs.
  • Leverages continuous improvement methods to enhance labor productivity and process accuracy while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

People

  • Determines roles & responsibilities of the team within his scope to achieve business objectives.
  • Responsible for mentoring, coaching, performance review feedback, conducting disciplinary actions, and interviewing new workforce.
  • Develops talent and encourages leadership growth amongst employees.
  • Drives delivery of the site communication and engagement plans.
  • Drives the local Employee Relations Strategy and the approach on works council/trade unions/employee forum.
  • Ensures the team is aware of and complies with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations by engaging the right functions to deliver training as needed.

Profit & Loss

  • Ensures all costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
  • Responsible for financial analysis and management of expenses within the scope of responsibility.
  • Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational, logistics, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.

HSE, Security & Business Resilience

  • Be aware of and comply with applicable legislation, customer requirements, the HSSE & BR frameworks.
  • Implement and maintain HSE & BR controls to eliminate or reduce risks.
  • Ensure all incidents and near misses are reported and investigated, and their root cause eliminated.
  • Maintain an Emergency Response Plan and provide the required equipment for such scenarios.
  • Communicate to and train employees in HSSE processes, equipment, and how to carry out their role safely ensuring training records are in place.
  • Ensure audit and review places are in place for HSSE.

Customer Relations

  • Build strong relationships with the customer and account teams to ensure seamless delivery every day.

Product

  • Coordinates logistics activities with all other functions of MLP and suppliers to obtain optimal production and utilization of resources.
  • Oversight of shipping/receiving, picking/packing, unloading, sorting, segregating, palletizing, load out, on-time delivery.
