Procurement Manager Role

At WSP, we're seeking a seasoned Procurement Manager to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that drive business growth and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute procurement plans to meet business objectives.
  • Manage preferred supplier partnerships and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Lead the joint procurement team to achieve a "best for project" procurement approach.
  • Articulate and present progress to the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Drive process improvements and ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Support managers in product requirements and ensure compliance with procurement-related activities.
  • Manage and review procurement documents to ensure compliance with the Procurement Policy and Procedures Manual.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial and Bidding Team to evaluate proposals, offers, and bids.
  • Ensure the adoption of best practices in managing key suppliers and partners.
  • Contribute to the delivery of programs in a timely, efficient, sustainable, and safe manner while achieving commercial targets and meeting client expectations.
  • Oversee the administration and communication of contractual terms and conditions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 20 years of experience in procurement, including 10 years in the Middle East.
  • Preferably CIPS Member status or MRICS/MCIOB.
  • Experience in a collaborative approach to contracting and a strong personality balanced with a team approach philosophy.
  • Experience on Theme Park projects is essential.
  • Experience with legal aspects of contracting and contract management.
  • Previous experience in a similar organization and system development.
  • Recognized Procurement/Commercial/Construction qualification (or working towards).
  • Process-driven, focus on detail, and enjoy working with data.
  • High standard of Microsoft Excel, including V-Lookups & Pivot Tables.
  • Ability to interpret project requirements and procedures.
  • Experience leading and supervising as the technical specialist on projects.
  • Demonstrable experience in carrying out witness inspection and testing of systems and conducting detailed reporting.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple activities in a logical and orderly manner.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and colleagues.
