About The Role

We are seeking a Project Director - Offshore to join a leading Global EPC company. This role is to be based in our client's office in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have offshore industry or similar industry experience and construction management experience on mega projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure safe project execution and delivery to client satisfaction and contractual requirements.
  • Accountable for project cost performance and accounts receivable.
  • Serve as prime point of contact between the client and company.
  • Assure project execution is in accordance with policies, procedures, systems, and quality management systems.
  • Manage and coordinate project leadership personnel and support business development and proposals for new offshore opportunities.
  • Negotiate changes with the client and be responsible for all contracts in their program of works.
  • Use and share best practices among the PM's and plan the project execution and revise the plan as necessary.
  • Keep the client and company advised of project status and lead the project management team and be responsible for the successful completion of the project.
  • Abide by our client business ethics and project delivery to quality management systems.
  • Forecast workload ensuring deployment of sufficient resources and resolve inter-project conflicts.
  • Manage all people assigned to offshore contracts effectively and appraise direct reports on a regular basis.
  • Maintain and promote Company Values and promote the capturing and implementation of lessons learned on Projects.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in the management of engineering and procurement projects.
  • Strong knowledge of offshore and experience of detailed design projects, ideally with a mix of greenfield and brownfield experience.
  • Strong financial and commercial understanding of projects.
  • Able to lead others in a challenging environment and make decisions and drive decision processes.
  • Well-developed management and administrative skills and works within a team to establish direction, alignment, and commitment.
  • Interpersonal skills, risk and change management, program and project planning, and well-organized, credible, and decisive.
