Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial standards and procedures to guide project budgeting and optimize project budgets and spending.
  • Provide expert support to departments in creating and managing forecasts and budgets for various projects.
  • Monitor project spending patterns against set budgets and ensure compliance with current budget and spending policies.
  • Propose improved policies and systems regarding spending guidelines, cost savings, cost allocation, and annual planning.
  • Lead regular communications with budget owners across the organization to monitor and revise budgets throughout the year and life of project(s).
  • Provide timely financial analysis and strategic input to facilitate high-level decision-making by management.
  • Evaluate and select effective tools for budget planning, forecasting, monitoring, and decision support.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on budget management processes and systems.
