About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Planning & Project Controls Manager to join our team at Asterix Communications.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide strategic leadership for planning and scheduling, progress measurement, and reporting for large-scale projects.
  2. Guide and direct planning staff, interface with clients, attend regular meetings, and provide statistical reports.
  3. Develop, implement, and maintain planning processes, procedures, systems, and tools, and monitor compliance.
  4. Provide guidance and direction for the resolution of planning and project issues as they arise.
  5. Prepare regular summary reports for the Project Management team to provide awareness of key project parameters and assist with exceptions.
  6. Set up and manage project management systems, including Primavera P6, to ensure effective program management across the planning team.
  7. Prepare master programs for projects and daily escalation reports for project managers.
  8. Assist in the consultant selection process for commercial and technical evaluation.
  9. Establish and deliver formal reporting arrangements on project progress for clients and projects.
  10. Review contract documents, suggest changes for planning and programming aspects, and add new clauses as necessary.
  11. Arrange planning workshops and meetings to discuss and assist contractors and consultants in closing planning and project control issues.
  12. Challenge claims and EOT requests.
  13. Make recommendations for possible acceleration.
  14. Develop document control systems and communication flows for projects.
  15. Review construction programs received from contractors and analyze them in line with contractual requirements.
  16. Ensure procurement, material, and submittal logs are created and maintained.
Requirements
  1. A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  2. Minimum 15+ years of post-graduate experience.
  3. Extensive experience with consultancies.
  4. Previous experience in planning, project controls, and project management.
  5. Good knowledge and experience of the project lifecycle for mixed-use projects in respect to planning, cost, and schedule control.
  6. Good knowledge of the design process and construction methodologies.
  7. Experienced project controls professional with good technical skills.
  8. Experience in the application of Primavera P6 and knowledge of Primavera Contract Manager on mixed-use development projects.
  9. Demonstrable experience on theme park PMC projects would be advantageous.
