Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planning Engineer to join our team at Dar Al Riyadh. As a key member of our project controls department, you will be responsible for leading the project controls and document control staff to ensure efficient project delivery.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Controls Leadership: Lead the project controls and document control staff to ensure efficient project delivery.
  2. Project Planning: Prepare the project controls plan for assigned projects and provide oversight and review of consultant planning and scheduling.
  3. Contract Review: Review contract drafts to ensure they include adequate cost and scope definition and meet project controls requirements.
  4. Project Coordination: Coordinate the development of all data in support of negotiations and apply planning and scheduling techniques as appropriate.
  5. Project Monitoring: Ensure that the project controls systems provide the best possible control tools for the supervisory staff and lead the process of capital budget determination.
  6. Staff Development: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of planning software and techniques and ensure that staff maintain their skill and knowledge.
  7. Reporting: Prepare internal and client weekly and monthly project status reports and review engineering consultants' schedules and programs.
  8. Project Execution: Develop a staffing plan and execution for the project organization to ensure resources are available and direct project control activities.
  9. Policy Development: Develop, interpret, and execute policy, objectives, and standards applicable to cost and schedule control and analysis activities.
  10. Performance Management: Appraise performance of subordinates and identify/implement training and development needs.

Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Registration: Registered engineer with the Saudi Council of Engineers.
  3. Certification: Preferred: Certified Project Management Professional (PMP or Prince 2).
  4. Technical Skills: Knowledge of computer programs for planning and scheduling (Primavera, MS Project) and advanced knowledge of computer programs for project management (Microsoft Project, Primavera, MS Office, Power BI).
  5. Language Skills: Fluent in both written and spoken Arabic and English.
