About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Oncologist to join our team at the National Blood & Cancer Center - NBCC. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and developing effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnosis and Treatment Planning: Order tests, including biopsies, blood work, and imaging, to confirm a diagnosis and develop appropriate treatment plans that meet patient needs.
  • Patient Education and Support: Provide patients with detailed information regarding cancer, their prognosis, and possible interventions or treatment options, ensuring they feel informed and empowered throughout their care journey.
  • Clinical Decision Making: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to accurately assess patient needs and develop evidence-based treatment plans that prioritize quality of life and optimal outcomes.
Requirements
  1. Education: Doctor of medicine (MD) or MD/PhD, or equivalent, with training in oncology or hematology/oncology.
  2. Board Certification: Relevant board certification in hematology/oncology, with licensure in good standing.
