Job Role: Accounts Receivable Accountant

This role is responsible for providing financial, clerical and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate postings for AR receipts and invoices, in addition to preparing checks for employees' expenses and assisting in depositing checks in the bank.

Key Tasks
  1. Posting and Follow-up: Ensure up to date posting of invoices, returns credit notes, debit notes and schedule PDCs; follow up on open invoices daily and confirm payments from customers and returned checks.
  2. Data Entry and Verification: Prepare batches for receipts for data entry and verify the accuracy of distribution.
  3. Inventory Management: Maintain accounts receivable files and assist in stocktaking.
  4. Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries and act as a liaison between related departments and customers.
  5. System Administration: Manage Star File and update star payments and records on GP.
  6. Year-End Closing: Assist in month-end and year-end closing.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with SOCPA certificate.
  • Experience: 3 - 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in Accounts Receivable.
  • Language: Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Personality: Team player, excellent communicator, organized, proactive, customer-focused, strong attention to detail, target-oriented, and ability to perform well under pressure.
