The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing a team of internal testers and dev testers, working closely with the QA partners in the game teams, and generating status reports to communicate the status of testing and escalate risks and blockers to key stakeholders.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage a team of internal testers and dev testers split between multiple shifts.
  • Coordinate testing efforts with the QA partners in the game teams.
  • Manage resource needs based on the scope of upcoming releases.
  • Respond to one-off testing queries and act as a liaison and communicator for the game QA testing teams.
  • Assist in maintaining test and development environments by managing environment-specific configurations and settings.
  • Work closely with the game engineering team for ad-hoc testing requests and demonstrate advanced techniques for testing and regression of product.
  • Generate status reports for the game QA team and the game team leaders, communicating the status of testing and escalating risks and blockers to key stakeholders.
  • Assist in the generation and maintenance of functional test suites.
  • Manage daily bug triages with confidence in prioritizing bugs and surfacing critical issues logged by QA.
  • Instill QA best testing practices across both internal and external teams, increasing the quality level of issue reporting through advanced reporting techniques including crash logs, server logs, video, and screen capture.
  • Leverage dashboards to monitor issue status throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Coach your team members to develop and grow the most talented testers in the org.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the training curriculum.
  • Requirements:
  • Possession of a passion for games of all genres and platforms (mobile, PC, and console).
  • English proficiency (B2 level or above) – spoken and written.
  • A desire to grow a career in the gaming industry and learn the ins and outs of how a game is made, with potential growth in QA, Production, Design, and Product LiveOps.
  • Proven prior experience managing quality on mobile/console/PC projects.
  • Ability to comfortably juggle and re-prioritize multiple tasks on the fly.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of the project.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Define project tasks and resource requirements.
  • Recruit, interview, and select staff with appropriate skills for the project activities.
  • Manage project staff according to company policies and practices.
  • Ensure that all project personnel receive proper orientation and professional development.
  • Assemble and coordinate project staff.
  • Execute the project according to the agreed plan.
  • Monitor the progress of the project and adjust as necessary.
  • Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders and team members on project progress.
  • Recurrently review the quality of the work completed with the team to ensure that it meets the project standards.
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders.
  • Present reports defining project progress, risk registry, and mitigation plan.
  • Manage all project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures.
  • Provide direction and support to the project team.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
  • Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget, and at the required level of quality.
  • Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase.
