About the Role

Duncan & Ross Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Design Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure design team, you will be responsible for developing detailed 3D models of road infrastructure using Civil 3D software.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop Detailed 3D Models: Utilize Civil 3D software to create accurate and detailed 3D models of road infrastructure, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  2. Collaborate with Engineering Teams: Work closely with engineering teams to understand project requirements and design intent, ensuring seamless integration of models into project workflows.
  3. Interpret Engineering Designs: Interpret engineering designs, sketches, and drawings to create accurate digital models, incorporating topographical data and survey information as required.
  4. Ensure Model Accuracy: Perform quality checks on models to ensure accuracy and completeness, adhering to project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  5. Generate Construction Documentation: Generate cross-sections, profiles, and other construction documentation from the models, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  6. Assist in Quantity Take-Offs: Assist in the preparation of quantity take-offs and material estimates, ensuring accurate and reliable data for project stakeholders.
  7. Develop Shop Drawings: Develop shop drawings, including layouts, profiles, sections, typical details, and manholes/chambers details & GA drawings, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  8. Participate in Project Meetings: Participate actively in project meetings and coordinate with stakeholders as required, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  9. Stay Updated with Industry Advancements: Stay updated with advancements in Civil 3D software and industry best practices, ensuring continued professional growth and development.
Key Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with a preference for Civil Engineering.
  2. Experience as a Civil 3D Modeler: Possess 7 to 10 years of experience working as a Civil 3D Modeler, specifically on infrastructure projects.
  3. Proficiency in Civil 3D Software: Demonstrate proficiency in Civil 3D software, with a strong focus on road design.
  4. Expertise in Shop Drawings: Possess expertise in developing shop drawings, including layouts, profiles, sections, and typical details.
  5. Solid Understanding of Infrastructure Design: Demonstrate a solid understanding of infrastructure design principles and construction methodologies.
  6. Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  7. Strong Analytical Skills: Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  8. Familiarity with Regulatory Requirements: Possess familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
