Job Description

We are currently seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Food and Beverage professional to join our team at Edge by Rotana. As a Captain, you will be responsible for providing exceptional and customer-focused service to our guests, ensuring their stay is a memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Service Delivery: Perform all necessary tasks to service food and beverage according to the standard of performance manual of the hotel.
  2. Menu Knowledge: Acquire in-depth knowledge of the food and beverage menu of the assigned outlet to assist and provide advice to guests.
  3. Customer Relations: Practice good customer relations and attend to customer complaints and queries satisfactorily.
  4. Outlet Setup: Ensure the Outlet is set up for service and supervise for a smooth operation.
  5. Team Supervision: Direct and supervise the service team to ensure that all duties are performed as per standards.
  6. Training and Development: Ensure that all colleagues have received adequate training to perform their duties.
  7. Inventory Management: Ensure proper organization, planning, and control of supplies and maintain a concise record of all beverage stock to ensure that the required items are available.
  8. Waste Reduction: Ensure minimum wastage, breakage, and spoilage.
  9. Upselling: Actively use up-selling techniques by exceeding guest expectations to increase revenue.
Requirements:
  1. Education: Diploma/degree in the hospitality field.
  2. Experience: A maximum of two years of experience in a similar role.
  3. Language Skills: Good knowledge of both written and spoken English.
  4. Technical Skills: Familiarity with Micros would be desirable.
  5. Leadership Experience: Previous experience in minor leadership and supervisory roles is a definite plus.
