Rig Move Operations Manager

As a key member of our team you will oversee the development implementation and maintenance of transportation and rig move operations plans ensuring they are aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and Execute Transportation and Rig Move Operations:
    • Develop comprehensive transportation and rig move plans considering equipment specifications route surveys weather conditions and regulatory requirements.
    • Oversee the execution of transportation and rig move operations ensuring adherence to safety procedures timelines and budgets.
    • Coordinate with management maintenance and drilling teams to ensure proper preparation and support for rig moves.
    • Manage and optimize the utilization of transportation and rig moving equipment.
  • Lead and Manage Teams:
    • Lead mentor and train a team of transportation specialists rig movers and support personnel.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to team members.
    • Ensure adequate staffing levels and skill sets to meet operational demands.
    • Promote a culture of safety and teamwork within the transportation and rig move operations.
  • Ensure Safety and Regulatory Compliance:
    • Develop and enforce safety procedures and protocols for all transportation and rig move operations.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations including DOT OSHA and environmental regulations.
    • Investigate accidents and incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Coordinate Logistics and Contracts:
    • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials.
    • Manage transportation and logistics contracts ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance.
    • Maintain accurate records of transportation and rig move activities including equipment maintenance personnel training and safety inspections.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all transportation and rig move related inquiries.
  • Monitor and Control Budgets and Risks:
    • Develop and manage the transportation and rig move operations budget.
    • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce expenses.
    • Monitor and track expenses ensuring adherence to budget guidelines.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments:
    • Identify and assess potential risks associated with transportation and rig move operations.
    • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize potential impacts.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies.
Requirements
  • Obtain a Bachelor's degree in supply chain logistics or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in transportation and rig move operations with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Extensive knowledge of heavy transport rig moving techniques and related equipment.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and transportation management software.
  • Knowledge of all rig move operations and registration with drilling companies.
  • English Fluency.
  • Available for work with transferable Iqama.
