Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager to join our team at WSP Global Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental arrangements for our projects are implemented and maintained in accordance with our HSEQ Management System requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental Management: Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and WSP's HSEQ Management System.
  • Supervision and Coordination: Supervise and coordinate the work of HSE Inspectors to ensure they are monitoring the implementation of health and safety arrangements at project sites.
  • Training and Development: Develop and deliver health, safety, and environmental training to WSP employees, including induction, safe working practices, and other relevant topics.
  • Contractor Management: Review and approve contractor's health, safety, and environmental plans, risk assessments, and method statements to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and WSP's HSEQ Management System.
  • Site Visits and Inspections: Conduct daily morning site visits to ensure health and safety measures are in place before works begin, and weekly joint HSE inspections with HSE Inspectors and contractor personnel.
  • Emergency Response Planning: Initiate and test emergency response plans, and ensure drills are carried out as per the project schedule and performance standards.
  • HSE Meetings and Reporting: Organize HSE meetings with clients, WSP project staff, and contractors, and ensure incident investigation reports are completed and corrective actions are identified and closed out.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant subject.
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of relevant working experience.
  • Qualifications: Must be qualified with relevant Health and Safety Qualifications - Minimum NEBOSH IGC.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
