Job Overview

  • Sasel Saudi L.L.C. is seeking a highly organized and experienced Document Controller to join our team for the Diriyah Gate Tunnel Construction MEP Fit-Out project.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in document control systems, specifically in MEP construction and large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring efficient document management and compliance with quality standards.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Maintaining and managing project documentation, including technical documents, drawings, and correspondence, ensuring accurate recording, tracking, and distribution.
  2. Ensuring documentation meets ISO 9001 standards and project-specific control procedures.
  3. Utilizing document control software, such as Aconex, SharePoint, or other tools, for uploading, retrieving, and maintaining records.
  4. Coordinating with engineers, subcontractors, and project managers to ensure timely delivery and distribution of documents.
  5. Monitoring, tracking, and following up on document approval workflows, including RFIs, submittals, and technical documents.
  6. Generating daily, weekly, and monthly reports on document status, including overdue and outstanding documents.
  7. Developing and managing document templates and numbering systems to ensure consistency and compliance across the project.
  8. Liaising with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve document control issues.

Requirements:

  • Educational Background:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Document Controller, with significant exposure to MEP projects.
    • Experience in large-scale infrastructure or tunnel projects is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in document control software specifically Aconex and SharePoint.
    • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and implementation.
    • Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Certifications (Preferred):
    • Aconex Accredited Professional.
    • ISO 9001:2015 Certification.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
